Dorothy Irene Doran, age 87, slipped away peacefully to eternal sleep on December 16th, 2017 surrounded by her family at The Moorings of Arlington Hts., IL. Dorothy was a Mother and Homemaker to her children, Michael, Tim (Debbie), Cathy Casciaro, Eileen Urbanski (Ken), John (Dana) and Billy.
Dorothy was a long time member of the Slo-Pokes Square Dancing Club in Mt. Prospect and enjoyed a lifetime of friendships from dancing. Dorothy worked for many years as a receptionist for Drs. Chudwin and Goldberg in Arlington Hts. She cherished her Summer time weekends at her home in Fontana, WI., walking her dogs Sophie and Gilbert along the Geneva lakeshore path. After her retirement at age 80, she pursued her love of art and enjoyed painting in acrylics, oils and watercolors. Dorothy was beloved and admired by all especially her thirteen Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 13th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Hts. Followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL.
